Inmate sent Obama threat to wrong address

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A convicted child molester is accused of sending a threatening letter to President Barack Obama — albeit to the wrong address.
Federal prosecutors in Pittsburgh say 34-year-old Joseph Savage mailed the letter from the Fayette County Prison while he was awaiting trial in October 2012.
The letter was sent to 1400 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. The White House is actually located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Savage is scheduled to appear Monday before a federal magistrate in Pittsburgh on the threat charges. Online court records don't list an attorney for him. The county public defender who represented him on the child molestation charges did not immediately return a call for comment.
Savage is now serving 12.5 to 25 years in state prison on the molestation charges.
