New Jersey waitress accused of doctoring receipt into anti-gay message had been dishonorably discharged from Marines: report

Dayna Morales, a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater who produced the receipt, allegedly stopped reporting to duty last spring leading to her dishonorable discharge. A woman claiming to have served with her told NBC: 'I wouldn't want anyone to think she was a part of my Marine Corps family, because she's not.' Former coworkers of Morales further accuse her of often telling lies.

Dayna Morales, pictured, is accused of doctoring a receipt left to her while waitressing in New Jersey earlier this month so it appears to leave no tip and criticizes her homosexual lifestyle.

The New Jersey waitress accused of doctoring a receipt into an anti-gay message had been dishonorably discharged from the Marine Corp according to shocking new claims as others say lying is not out of her character.
Dayna Morales, a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater who gained national attention and allegedly thousands of dollars in tips after posting the receipt on Facebook earlier this month, had stopped reporting to active duty last spring, NBC 4 reports.
A woman who claims to have once served with Morales spoke anonymously to the station in a bid to disassociate Morales from the Marine Corps.
A couple have since come forward producing their original receipt, right, that shows an $18 tip left to Morales and no anti-gay message, seen in Morales' copy on the left.

"I wouldn't want anyone to think she was a part of my Marine Corps family, because she's not," the woman said.
Since her discharge in May some now claiming to have worked with her at various restaurants say the receipt allegations aren't too surprising, with her having often told stories that never added up.

According to Jacqie Fitzpatrick, one of the most outrageous claims made by Morales was while they were working together at a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Nyack, N.Y. last year.
Fitzpatrick told NBC that Morales showed up to work with a shaved head and told everyone she had brain cancer.
"She came in with her hair shaved because she wanted to shave it herself before she lost it," said Fitzpatrick.

Her former coworker claims Morales used her cancer story to receive offers and help from people at work.
She then abruptly quit not long after, said Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick said that she and her other coworkers hadn't seen her again since she appeared on the news speaking about the receipt that appeared to read, "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle."
A pair of diners has since come forward claiming ownership of that receipt while providing their own copy which does not include that message on it.

Their copy, along with a corresponding credit card receipt, also shows that they left a tip of $18. Morales’ produced copy claims they left nothing.
"Obviously Dayna's profiting from this and it's fraud. It's a scam," one of the two diners told NBC New York.
Morales, confronted by the diners' defense, simply told NBC: "That's not my handwriting. I don't know."
Gallop Asian Bistro said they are currently investigating the allegations made against Morales. For the time being, she is not on the work schedule.
Morales has expressed her plans to give all extra tips given to her because of the receipt to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A Marine Corp spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
