NC governor's new bathroom cost taxpayers $19,000
1 day ago
Did someone say "government waste?" Sometimes the jokes just write themselves, don't they? The fine taxpayers of North Carolina just paid $19,000 for renovations to the governor's bathroom because of a "bad smell." (Guys, haven't you heard of Glade plug-ins?) Pat McCrory's private restroom was given a new coat of paint, new tile and other repairs that — as his spokesperson Kim Genardo pointed out — weren't taken care of by his predecessor. "[The] pungent odor seeped into the governor's office, which made it an embarrassment to host company CEOs and guests at the State Capitol," Genardo told the Associated Press. [Source]
