Wedding Bells Ring for Meredith Baxter
The 66-year-old actress and her longtime partner, contractor Nancy Locke, said "I do" in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, Baxter's rep confirmed to omg!.
The duo exchanged handwritten vows in front of family and friends, including Baxter's five children. A close friend presided over their ceremony and both women donned pantsuits for their special day. The romantic wedding was followed by a fun-filled reception where a close friend played guitar and sang, Locke's band played a set, and the two lovebirds took a stroll on the dance floor for their first time as a married couple.

The blushing bride gushed to People about her nuptials, "Now I understand why marriage caught on."
Baxter and Locke began dating in 2006, three years before the TV actress came out as a lesbian during an interview with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show.
During that 2009 appearance on the "Today" show, she said of her future wife, "I got involved with someone I never expected to get involved with, and it was that kind of awakening. I never fought it because it was like, 'Oh, I understand why I had the issues I had early in life.' I had a great deal of difficulty connecting with men in relationships."
