It was a family affair for Mariska Hargitay as she accepted her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.
Surrounded by loved ones, the "Law & Order" vet was overcome with emotion as she received her star, which is perfectly placed next to that of her mother, the late Jayne Mansfield. Among those who came out to celebrate Hargitay's milestone moment were her husband, Peter Hermann, their three children, August, Andrew, and Amaya, and her half-sister, Jayne Marie Mansfield.
Jayne Marie was the first child of actress Jayne Mansfield and her first husband, Paul Mansfield. The blond bombshell was iconic in the 1950s, often referred to as the "working man's Marilyn Monroe" because her wardrobe malfunctions became almost as well-known as her stage and screen performances.

After she and Paul divorced, Jayne married Mickey Hargitay and had three more children — including Mariska, making Jayne Marie the older half-sister to the famed actress. When their mother died at 34 in a tragic car accident, Jayne Marie was 14 and Mariska was only 3.

While both sisters pursued dreams in Tinseltown, Jayne Marie seemingly had a change of heart. After famously following in their mother's footsteps by posing for Playboy (making her the first daughter of a Playmate who appeared in the magazine herself) she bowed out of the scene and, at this point, is rarely spotted in public, which made her attendance at this event rather noteworthy.
Perhaps even more noteworthy, however, is how much Jayne Marie looks like their blond bombshell mother (far more than Mariska does, anyway) and how happy both sisters seemed at this joyous event. Clad in a black 1950s-inspired frock with a full skirt and plunging neckline, Mariska was positively beaming as she hugged her older sib. For her part, Jayne Marie wore a flowing white top and a gold necklace.
Hilary Swank, Debra Messing, Maria Bello, and Kate Flannery also came out to support the 49-year-old thesp, along with "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolfe.
And while Mariska teared up during part of her speech, she admitted this was just the tip of the iceberg. "[I] cried the whole plane ride!" she shared. Hey, at least they were happy tears.
She certainly has a lot to celebrate these days. In addition to earning one of Hollywood's top honors, she recently signed on for season 15 (yes, 15!) of the show that made her a household name. Something tells us both her mother and her sister are very proud.
