Lady Gaga Is the New Face of Versace
The famous fashion house tweeted the exciting news on Saturday and also shared Mother Monster's first advertisement for the 2014 Spring/Summer campaign.
The "ARTPOP" singer sure cleans up nice and stunned in a lavender, ruched, cutout gown with silver rope detailing. Her overall look was relatively subdued with a light shimmer on her eyes, bronzed cheeks, and a pale peach lip stain. In the shot, her long blond hair is parted down the middle and draped around her midsection.
Truth be told, she looks nearly identical to her fashion designer bestie Donatella Versace. The duo first collaborated when Donatella loaned the 27-year-old singer a gown from the Versace archives for her "Edge of Glory" video. Gaga has since stepped out in numerous creations from the Italian atelier and firmly cemented her status in Donatella's inner circle when she penned the song, "Donatella," for her latest album.
The chorus in Gaga's ode to Donatella includes lines like, "What do you wanna wear this spring? What do you think is the new thing? What do you wanna wear this season?"
Well, it looks like Gaga will answer all of those questions as Versace's new leading lady.
