Restaurant accused of hiding its ugly customers in the back

"Pretty in the front, ugly in the back" is a great way to describe a mullet, but it's probably not the best way to separate the customers at your restaurant. The ritzy Georges restaurant in Paris has been accused of hiding its, say, less attractive patrons in the back of the restaurant and seating the beautiful ones where they could be seen by people who walked by.
"There are beautiful people, you put them here; there are not beautiful people, you put them there," a former hostess said her boss told her, according to newspaper Le Canard Enchaine. Not only that, but when potential diners called to make reservations, the staff was reportedly told to look for "linguistic clues" that would help them decide whether they were hot or not. According to the not-at-all-disgruntled former staffer, the only exceptions to this policy were celebrities (good news, Gerard Depardieu!). The restaurant's ownership group would neither confirm nor deny her claims. [Source]
