Report: Paris Jackson rushed to hospital after possible suicide attempt

Paris Jackson, the daughter of deceased singer Michael Jackson, was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a possible suicide attempt, TMZ reports.
According to TMZ, the 15-year-old was transported to the hospital from the family's Calabasas, Calif., home at approximately 2 a.m. after a 911 call was placed.
TMZ reports that the 911 caller reported a possible overdose, but also cites a source stating that there were cuts on one of Jackson's wrists.
TMZ says that Jackson is currently "doing OK."
Debbie Rowe, Jackson's mother, confirmed the hospitalization report to Entertainment Tonight, and said Jackson has had "a lot going on [lately]."
Fire and sheriff's officials confirmed they transported someone from a home in Paris' neighborhood for a possible overdose but did not release any identifying information or additional details.
Perry Sanders, an attorney for Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson, said Wednesday that Paris Jackson is "getting appropriate medical attention" but is "physically fine" following the reported possible suicide attempt.
Sanders also made an apparent reference to the 2009 death of Paris' father -- and Katherine's son -- Michael Jackson, adding, "Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you."
The reported hospitalization comes after Jackson tweeted a couple of curious messages early Wednesday morning.
"I wonder why tears are salty?" Jackson pondered in one message.
In another, she quoted the Beatles classic "Yesterday," writing, "Yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay."
On Tuesday, Paris Jackson also tweeted that she was interested in taking up the starring role of "Doctor Who," which Matt Smith, who currently occupies the role, will abandon later this year.
"OMG i wanna be The Doctor," Jackson tweeted, "they said any age & gender, right?"
The reported incident occurred while a wrongful death trial plays out in the courts. Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson, alleges that AEG Live played a role in the singer's 2009 death by hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to care for Jackson in the run-up to the singer's planned comeback concerts.
Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011, after a jury found that he was responsible for Jackson's death for improperly giving the singer propofol.
