'Sexist and degrading'? Watch and judge for yourself ...

By Pop Spy -- Kat Giantis 4 hours ago
It's nice to know that Pamela Anderson is still getting work, even if that work involves being hosed down with a creamy substance while wearing a bikini. And it's also nice to know that at the age of 45, the former "Baywatch" bombshell's top-heavy assets are still too much for some folks to handle.

Britain's Advertising Standards Authority has banned a Pam-starring ad from Dreamscape Networks after a few viewers clutched their collective pearls over content deemed to be "sexist and degrading to women."

In the commercial, a business-suit clad Anderson runs a meeting full of pasty executives, and as she confers with her equally hot, equally double-D-endowed female colleague, a guy named Adam starts fantasizing about the two of them in bikinis.
In his dream sequence, they wriggle against each other as cream is sprayed, presumably to keep their cleavage friction from igniting.
A sterling example of creativity in advertising it isn't, and it was enough to get the spot thrown off British airwaves.

The ASA allowed that Pam and her smoking cohort appear to be "strong, confident businesswomen" in the ad, but that wasn't enough to make up for the rest of it.
"We considered that they were also portrayed sexually throughout the ad, not just during the fantasy sequence," noted the watchdog group. "We noted that, even though they were wearing business attire, their shirts were buttoned down so that they were exposing their bras and cleavages. Furthermore, during the fantasy sequence, they were seen dancing and writhing around in cream whilst wearing bikinis. Although the fantasy scene, which we considered was sexually suggestive, was limited to Adam's imagination, we considered it gave the impression that he viewed his female colleagues as sexual objects to be lusted after. Because of that, we considered the ad was likely to cause serious offense to some viewers on the basis that it was sexist and degrading to women."
Web-hosting and domain firm Dreamscape, which is likely doing a happy dance over the ensuing publicity, insists it just wanted to tickle viewers' funnybones.
"We did not believe the ad objectified women, as it was clear the exaggerated fantasy sequence was limited to Adam's imagination," explained a spokesman. "It was his musings and easy distraction which were meant to be over-the-top and comical -- especially in the context of a business meeting and because they were suddenly interrupted. It was a tongue-in-cheek approach to promoting our product. We believed the majority of viewers would find the ad fanciful and humorous."
The group that originally gave the green light for the ad to be broadcast (albeit after 9 p.m.) says it did so because Pam is "a celebrity who was known for flaunting her body." You don't say. By the by, check out the least sexy picture from Anderson's subtle new photoshoot with Vogue Brazil, as photographed by Mario Testino:
