More convenient and versatile than your downtown head shop, Amazon.com is your go-to online retailer for bongs, nitrous oxide and legal hallucinogenics. Although the site asserts that it removes "any items that contravene [its] guidelines," it appears to have no problem hawking poppers and water pipes. While you wouldn't be hard-pressed to find online shops selling similar paraphernalia, many are surprised to find a retailer as large and respected as Amazon peddling drugs, even going so far as to market salvia — an herb capable of delivering vivid psychotropic episodes — as "more powerful than LSD."
