Fort Hood Gunman Served a Tour in Iraq
The gunman in the Fort Hood shooting was an active-duty enlisted soldier who served at least one tour in Iraq, a military official told NBC News.
Ivan A. Lopez, 34, served in the Army National Guard in Puerto Rico. He was assigned to a sustainment brigade.
Three people were shot dead and at least 11 were wounded in Wednesday's violence. Lopez took his own life, officials said.
