A film fan from South Carolina has been arrested and jailed for failing to return a copy of Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda's movie "Monster-in-Law" to her local video store.
Kayla Finley, 27, was taken into custody last week for failure to return a video rental to Dalton Video.
She held onto the rental for over nine years, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She was booked on petty larceny charges when she went to a local police station on Thursday to file a criminal complaint of her own, and officers checked her records.
She was jailed for the night and released on Friday morning after paying bail.
Finley insists she never received the warnings from the video store or the warrant, which was originally sent to her in 2005, and she had forgotten she still had the movie.
In a note on Facebook, she writes, "It's obvious that Pickens County has nothing better to do. I fully intend on fighting this, it's ridiculous that this had to happen to me."
