Reince Priebus On Rehashing The Monica Lewinsky Scandal: 'Everything's On The Table'

Posted: Updated:
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said he's fine with people bringing up the Monica Lewinsky scandal while assessing a potential presidential run by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), seen as a 2016 presidential contender, has brought up the scandal involving former President Bill Clinton several times in recent weeks. In a January appearance on NBC's "Meet The Press," he called Clinton's behavior "predatory," doubling down on the claim and calling Clinton a "serial philanderer" in an interview with CBS days later.
Priebus told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on Monday "everything's on the table" for 2016, saying Hillary Clinton "provides a lot of opportunity for us."
"I don't see how someone just gets a free pass on anything. I mean, especially in today's politics," Priebus said. "I think we're going to have a truckload of opposition research on Hillary Clinton, and some things may be old and some things might be new. But I think everything is at stake when you're talking about the leader of the free world and who we're going to give the keys to run the United States of America."

Democrats had no problem dragging up Newt's past. Works both ways people..
Sandy, shall we keep going and 're-dredge' the Nixon Scandal', or 'Agnew'? Where would you like it to stop? At your door, maybe?

I think it's safe to say the GOP has officially run out of ideas on everything.
Their ideas are so wildly unpopular with a majority of the US, especially independents, that they will say anything to avoid bring up the bad laws they are for.

Go right ahead. All you are going to do is make women rally around her anymore because women know the difference between being cheated on and having their rights taken away.
By all means, let dear Reince "proceed".

Translation of Priebus: "We're desperate."
Republicans are still trapped in a TIME MACHINE.

Everything's on the table? Lets get a replay of the 47% video...it's the perfect backdrop for the GOTP.
Along with "Brownie, you're doin' a heckuva job" and "legitimate rape" and "'Bin Laden Determined To Attack United States' was just too vague."

I thinks it is interesting that Michael Steele, even with his faults, did everything he could to advance the GOP into the 21st century and Reince Priebus has taken them back. Michael was about ideas and policy; Reince doesn't stand for anything that the Koch Brothers haven't approved.
And after the dismal showing in 2012.....the GOP said....let's keep Reince....have to wonder what exactly are they thinking. I think Michael Steele will be a Democrat soon, or I'm hoping.

Another example of the Repubs vagina fetish...It's not about the scandal...to paraphrase an old Carville remark: It's all about the vagina, stupid!. How does that compare to lying to get us into war with Iraq...and watching as thousands of our finest came home in coffins over the years. That's the scandal
When all else fails let's dig up irrelevant dirt on the Clinton's, because once again, the republicans can't run on anything current to move this country forward. Yet bring up G.W.'s missteps and they lose their minds.
I understand his position, but what else can the GOP argue?
It's basically just a distraction from his failure to lead the "Party of No"...

OK..so business as usual...coming up with some constructive ideas or any plan on improving American lives, or a candidate that's not a a dolt....no...more ways to smear opponents...bring it on.
they're like rabid sports fans who scream from the couch, but couldn't run 10 yards without keeling over. they're not on the field and they don't even know it.
Yeah, I'd say anything to avoid bringing up my parties unpopular platform that has no chance of getting the GOP elected in 2016.
they have a platform? Nothing pertaining to the future, only what is behind us.
